This means, registered users of Merlin 1 will receive (and already have received) all updates within this series (1.x) for free.

Once Merlin 2 is officially released, there will be an upgrade from Merlin 1 to Merlin 2. A fee of EUR 75 (plus any taxes that may apply in your country) will be charged for this upgrade. This applies for all Merlin 1 users who purchased their license prior to June 1, 2006. Those users who purchased Merlin 1 on or after June 1, 2006 will receive the upgrade to Merlin 2 free of charge. This date marks our transition phase.

All license holders of Merlin 2 will receive the following updates within this series (2.x) again for free. This applies to regular updates of the application itself and not any individual modules that may be offered in the future. These will be separate applications, tools or utilities.
